I first had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca when she was hired to become VP of Marketing at Shell Recharge Solutions. At the time, the organization had just undergone several serious transformations and the marketing team had experienced a great amount of upheaval. Rebecca immersed herself in the unique issues facing the organization and immediately formulated a strategy that re-envisioned how . I was fortunate to work closely with Rebecca on several projects she sponsored, including research and strategy and GTM operationalization. I experienced first-hand her talent for building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders as well as communicating her vision to drive alignment and engagement. During the massive Windows Vista + Office 2007 launch, Rebecca played a role that could only be the summarized as the launch maestro: she seamlessly combined over a dozen internal marketing groups, all with different marketing goals, into a cohesive team with a solid launch strategy. This launch marked the first time a product was released as a download in Microsoft's history. Windows Marketplace launched a compelling experience on time and sold more than $1 million in Vista and Office downloads in the first 24 hours. The huge collaboration between Marketplace and Windows couldn't have been done without Rebecca's guidance, organization, and keen insight into the corporate culture. She's an absolute joy to work and seems to never run out of energy. I would be delighted to work with her again someday.
